Full-time Firefighter/Paramedic

The Eureka Fire Protection District will accept applications and resumes for one full-time firefighter paramedic position and establish a hiring list for future positions until  August 23rd, 2024, at 4:30 PM.

Applications are available at the District Headquarters 4849 Hwy 109 in Eureka,    Monday - Friday between 8 AM and 4:30 PM or here.

Applications and Resumes must be received electronically or turned in at the District Headquarters by 4:30 PM on August 23rd, 2024.


All applicants must be a licensed driver and Missouri State Licensed EMT-P.
Prior Fire Service Experience and St. Louis County Certified Fire Fighter I & II are desirable.
Candidates who have not previously completed the St. Louis County Fire Academy must submit a valid CPAT card prior to being hired. Graduates of, or current, St. Louis County Fire Academy enrollees do NOT need to turn in a CPAT card.


Documentation of the above is required.

In addition, applicants must provide a current state background and license check or pay $50. Those choosing to pay $50 must do so at District Headquarters.

Written testing will be conducted on the morning of August 27th at 9 AM or the evening of August 28th at 6 PM at the Eureka Fire Training Center, 18765 Old Highway 66, Pacific, Missouri 63069. Candidates only need to attend one session.

Interviews (with scenario-based questions) will be conducted beginning at 4:00 PM on August 29th, 2024, and on August 30th, starting at 8:30 AM. This portion will also be conducted at the Eureka Fire Training Center, and candidates will only need to attend one session.

A resume review is also conducted as part of the hiring process.

Firefighter/EMT-P, year 3 - $87,225
